Sargon I


Sargon I was the first king of unified Akkad/Sumer. (He was also known as "Sargon of Akkad" or "Sargon the Great".) He conquested all the Sumerian city-states during the 24th and 23th centuries BC. He reigned from the city-state Akkad, on the shore of the Euphrates.
